Our first official trip during retirement was to Newton, NC and Charleston, SC.  We visited my sister Jane and her husband Darrell in Newton NC, and my brother John and his wife Carol came to the Midway Campground in Statesville, NC to see us and our new RV.  While in the area, we took a side trip to the one of the last two covered bridges in NC as well as a stop in Love Valley (a piece of the old west in the middle of modern North Carolina).  From there we went to the Mt Pleasant KOA Campground to see Donna's family.  We also walked the new Cooper River Bridge.  Click on the thumbnails tab on the left for all images.  The below two images are linked to full resolution images.
